Background | Interleukin 18 receptor accessory protein, also known as IL18RAP, IL1R7 and CDw218b, is a single-pass type I membrane protein. It is member of the interleukin-1 receptor family. IL18RAP contains 2 Ig-like C2-type (immunoglobulin-like) domains and 1 TIR domain. IL18RAP is strongly expressed in peripheral blood leukocytes, spleen, lung, and, to a lesser extent, in colon. It is not expressed in any other tissue tested. IL18RAP is also strongly expressed in T-cells polarized with IL12 and specifically coexpressed with IL18R1 in Th1 cells. |
