Product Description	The Streptococcus Pyogenes IdeS Protein, His Tag, GST Tag(KMP4413) is produced in E. coli. A DNA sequence encoding the streptococcus pyogenes IdeS (F8V4V0-1) (Asp30-Asn341) was expressed with the N-terminal polyhistidine-tagged a GST tag at the N-terminus (his-GST)

Background	IdeS (IgG-degrading enzyme of Streptococcus pyogenes) is a secreted cysteine endopeptidase from the human pathogen S. pyogenes with an extraordinarily high degree of substrate specificity, catalyzing a single proteolytic cleavage at the lower hinge of human IgG. This proteolytic degradation promotes inhibition of opsonophagocytosis and interferes with the killing of group A Streptococcus.
